How's the feel to give birth during pandemic time!!
Filled with terror, anxiety and excitement.
I waddled into the kitchen to the living room that counted down the days until my due date.
That morning, on October 11th, i was less than a week from my due date . I and Dinesh was talking about my elder daughter birth story how she was born and for this pregnancy I was eating more of biriyani's during my last trimester, since there was no lockdown any more. And we were talking about when to hold my baby in my arms, and to know that it was safe.
But now that there was a global pandemic, I was worried whether my arms were going to be the safest place for new born.
As I prepared for childbirth, each day ticks by, I am left wondering when my water breaks or other pregnancy symptom's, According to my doctor, This little one in my belly would have complication so she told us to go for planned c-sec. I hardly feel confident about bringing something so tiny and precious into this semi-quarantine version of our world. While people continue to go about their business, risking exposure and spread of an unbridled, long - attacking virus, I fear for my baby's health.
My body is stretched beyond recognition but i now find myself hoping and wishing that baby would stay tucked safety inside just a little while longer.
I have dreamed of introducing my soft hearted 4 yrs old daughter to her new sister in the hospital but i know that she wont be permitted to visit at all. After months of watching her cradle a baby doll in preparation for this moment, i feel robbed of our first hours together as a family of four.
All i could tell for the new mom or who get pregnant during this time go ahead with your little one as this is a new life, new change over, which we cant escape, as we have strength to deliver new human , we should have faith to face this pandemic too!!
