I love this Carrot Cupcake recipe because it's so easy to make. No mixer is required. The time consuming part is the grating of the fresh carrots. Hidden Heart Chocolate Loaf Cake

This Hidden Heart Chocolate Loaf Cake is made using the hidden design technique, it looks so impressive and clever but is easier to make than you think! There are lots of different ideas out there of what image to hide inside, but this is a good one to start off with if you want to give hidden designs a go for the first time. Plus it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day! As well as it’s pretty apperance, it’s a delicious chocolate cake.

The most exciting part is the moment of truth when you cut into it and see the design inside, it’s such a fun surprise especially if you don’t tell your friends and family about it! It will certainly provide a romantic surprise too if you bake this for your loved one.

Ingredients
For Red cake ( to cut heart shape)
  • Flour - 1/2 cup
  • Egg- 1
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup 
  • Milk - 3 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tsp
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Food colour - Red 
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp  
Instructions
  1. In a bowl crack the egg, then add 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla extract and beat it until it turns creamy. Then add 3 tsp of oil and beat again.
  2. Now add 1/2 cup of flour with 1 tsp of baking powder, with 3 tsp of milk and mix gently.
  3. Add red food colour and mix them.
  4. Pour the batter into parchment lined loaf pan and tap twice.
  5. Bake them in pre- heated oven for 150 degree for 30min.
  6. Once baked allow them to cool completely and cut them into your desire shapes using cookie cutter, I used heart shape cutter and cut them.
  7. Place all your cut hearts into fridge for 1 hr.
  8. DO NOT DISCARD REMAINING UNUSED LEFTOVER CAKES. We can make cake popsicles' with it.
 For Chocolate cake :

  • Flour - 3/4 cup
  • Coco powder - 1/4
  • Egg- 1
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup 
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1/4 tsp
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Instructions
  1. In a bowl crack the egg, then add 1/2 cup of sugar and beat them until foamy. Then add vanilla extract. Mix 
  2. Add 3/4 cup of flour, 1/4 cup of coco powder, baking powder 1 tsp and baking soda 1/2 tsp  and mix.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of oil with 1 cup of milk and gently mix them 
  4. Take parchment linked loaf pan, pour the cake batter half and place the Red colour heart shape cut cakes on it by side by side.
  5. Pour the remaining chocolate cake batter on top of placed heart cake and tap twice.
  6. Place the loaf pan in pre-heated oven and bake for 30 - 40 min in 150 degree.
  7. Once cool down completely cut the cake and you can find the hidden heart or the desire shapes which you have placed inside cake batter.
  8. Enjoy your valentine with your loved ones by baking this cake!!!

Take all items

Break 1 egg 

Sugar 1/4 cup

Until creamy

gently mix

Milk 3 tsp

Final mix

Add red food colour

Then mix


Pour the batterb into loaf pan

Tap twice

Baker in pre-heated oven for 30min in 150 degree

Once cool down remove from pan and cut into heart shape with cookie cutter



Keep them in fridge for 1 hr



                                    For chocolate batter
Add 1 egg

vanilla extract 1 tsp 

Beat them until foamy 

sugar 1/2 cup

Beat it

Flour 3/4 cup

Coco powder 1/4 cup

Baking soda 1/2 tsp

Baking powder 1 tsp

Mix 

oil 1/2 cup

Milk 1 cup

Final mix gently 

Into loaf pan  with half batter

Place heart cut cake onto the batter

Side by side

Pour remaining battter

Bake it for 30 to 40 min in pre-heated oven in 150 degree

Cool down 

Cut the cake 

Enjoy with your valentine!!!!!
